The Ohio Utilities Protection Service, also known as O.U.P.S, is a non-for-profit public safety organization that serves as a communication link between utility companies and individuals. It is a vital resource for Ohio residents and businesses to avoid uninterrupted access to vital emergency services and to avoid the termination of heat in the cold winter months due to projects hitting an underground utility line while digging.
A brand-new O.U.P.S office building is currently being constructed in North Jackson and will be used as a training and call center. The project is expected to be completed by early 2018.
